Board Member Profiles
President: Stu Gardner
Stuart relocated to Colleyville and Highland Meadows in 2011 from Arlington, TX, where he served as President of the Parkway North HOA for 25 years and Chairman and President of Arlington Neighborhood Council from 1985 – 1988. In 2008, Stuart participated in the North Arlington Neighbors Group (NAN), a collection of HOAs in NE Arlington, and directed what was described by the Ft. Worth Star Telegram as the most successful negotiation of mineral rights contracts in Tarrant County. Stuart is an SME in diagnostic imaging. Stuart’s wife Sandra is a food science major from the University of Wisconsin and currently works for the Hershey Company. Stuart has 2 children and grandchildren living out of state.
Vice President: Dean Fittz
Dean has been a resident of Highland Meadows since 2016, and is currently a Board member, a member of the Architectural Control Committee, and the Board Liaison to the ACC. Dean has one young son, one young wife, and is active in the Fort Worth Christian School community.
Director: Kim Wallace
Kim has lived in Colleyville for over 26 years, and moved to Highland Meadows in 2014 when they fell in love the neighborhood and their beautiful single-story home. Kim has been active on the Architectural Control Committee before being elected to the board last October.
Director: Roderick Capelo
Roderick has lived in Colleyville since 2014, and founded Pediatric Sports and Spine Associates in Grapevine in 2006. He previously served as a Board Member for the Broughton HOA. He is married with 3 children, ages 9,7, and 2. Roderick currently serves as a Board Member on the GC Education Foundation, and is active in the Glenhope Elementary Dad's Club.
Director: Becky Prentice
Becky has lived in Highland Meadows since 2001, but she's lived in the DFW area (Irving and Grapevine) almost all her life. She is a retired educator who served as a math teacher at GHS and CHHS, principal at CMS, principal at CHHS, and executive director in Rockwall ISD. Becky and her husband Al love to travel, visiting their four children and nine grandchildren in Houston, the DFW area, and Colorado. She keeps busy by gardening, sailing, quilting, and volunteering at the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau and First United Methodist Church in Grapevine. Becky serves as secretary on the HOA Board and also as welcome committee chair.
Director: Jessica Gettig
Jessica has been a Colleyville resident since 2017. Her husband, Andrew, grew up in Highland Meadows and together they have 3 children, ages 8, 6, and 3. Jessica works in the Oil & Gas industry and is an active member of the Glenhope Elementary PTA.
Director: Joe Ben Hassell
Joe Ben and his wife Tracy love to travel, and have two grown sons with two daughters-in-law and one grandson. Joe Ben was previously a Board member in 1996-1997, is a CPA Realtor, sports enthusiast, and big LSU fan (though admits to being a La Tech graduate).
